The Youth Club held their annual service in Clonduff on Sunday 12th March.
Preparations had got underway on the Saturday night with the 'girlies' baking buns etc. and others practising songs etc.
The leadership team were busy from 4.30 preparing for the service and even though all the work was completed in time, the spirit of fellowship was very evident in everything that had to be done. The speaker for the evening - Gerald Titmus was there from the beginning and engaged heartily in all the banter that was going on.
The hall was packed with visitors there from neighbouring youth groups and lots of parents and young people.
The musical team of Alison (piano), Jenna (keyboard), Hannah (trumpet), Joanna (Saxophone), Ruth (Flute), Esther (flute), (Dave (guitar), Leonard (bass) and Joe (guitar) with Junior (leading) began by having a time of worship.
Various young people and leaders were involved in the leading of the service which included interactive powerpoint slides for songs and a video entitled 'Where is the love?'
Gerald's message was a very clear presentation of the gospel centred on the cross. His humour amidst the relevance of the need to trust in Christ for salvation was powerful and left all who were there in no doubt of their need to be saved.
The worship concluded with the singing of 'When I survey the wondrous cross on which the Prince of Glory died.'
Tea was served afterwards and almost everyone remained behind to enjoy the fellowship and chat.
Below are some photos of folk who attended or were involved in the service
